DigiLex

DigiLex v 2.0: Compliance and Risk Management System

DigiLex is a world class web based SHEQ management system that integrates legal compliance and SHEQ management system requirements. It is suitable for small, medium and large enterprises and is used both locally and internationally.

DigiLex contains SHEQ legal registers for numerous countries in the Southern African Development Community – Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.

The DigiLex platform was developed around multiple standards and disciplines such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points – a systematic preventive approach to food safety and pharmaceutical safety). DigiLex also contains a Statutory Appointment Master, assisting clients with the all legal appointments.

Functionality includes:

  • A Fully integrated management system as the user has access to all the suites (currently Health, Safety and Environment) across multiple sites from within one system with a single logon.

  • A Legal register with layman's interpretation and explanation of what the legal obligations entail for the industry.
    • E-Mail notification to all users of updates of legislation, standards and, court cases.
    • Automated audit functionality against relevant Suites to drive compliance. Own audits possible.
    • Customisable checklists and audit protocols.
    • Audit results are linked to the legal register to identify gaps, areas of improvement and prioritization for the allocation of capital and/or resources.
    • Capturing of corrective actions and appropriate responsibility and accountability.
    • Audit reports automatically generate an executive summary including strengths, weaknesses, recommendations and a graphical depiction of the results of compliance scores
    • Full document and record management and control as a repository for relevant forms, certificates, processes and documentation is available at the click of a button. Documents and records are easily linked to the legal register, risk register, audit findings and corrective actions.

    All current users of DigiLex will be automatically transferred to DigiLex 2.0 and maintain all their existing data and functionality.

    As before, the system contains several "suites", currently Environment as well as Health and Safety. We are working on Quality, Responsible Care and Packaging. We will notify all users as new suites are completed.
